MIX WELL BEFORE USE.

FLEXGARD is designed for dipping. Nets to be treated should be cleaned, washed and dried thoroughly. Nets should be dipped, drained and shaken lightly, then spread out to dry. Allow 4-6 hours between coats for more than one (1) dip and three (3) days before use. Nets must be dry before placing in water.

CLEAN UP: FLEXGARD is a latex. Clean all equipment with water.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR THE TREATMENT OF NETS WITH FLEXGARD

In order to obtain the most economical and still effective weight pick up of active ingredient against marine growth on netting, we recommend testing a small section of netting at each site. Performance is dependent on water conditions. Our recommendation is a weight pick up of between 28-45% depending on type of netting and water conditions. To accomplish this, up to a 25% cut with fresh water is recommended. Regardless of mesh size, yield of FLEXGARD on netting to obtain a 28-45% weight pick up should be approximately eight to twelve (8-12) pounds per gallon depending on dilution. The larger the mesh size, the less FLEXGARD should be reduced with water. Mesh size falling below one (1) inch will require greater reduction of FLEXGARD with water. All FLEXGARD treated nets can be re-coated with FLEXGARD.

KNOTLESS NETTING:

Since there is no finish or knot holding material on knotless netting, FLEXGARD will be readily absorbed into the net.

Laboratory and field wear tests on knotless netting shows up to 10% loss after one (1) year of use.

Re-coating over the netting initially treated with FLEXGARD after use gives a yield of approximately 16 pounds of netting per gallon of FLEXGARD.

KNOTTED NETTING:

Knotted netting is the most critical. Depending on the supplier of knotted netting, there are a number of different knot holding materials used which might affect the penetration and weight pick up of the initial FLEXGARD coating.

Laboratory and field wear tests on knotted netting show up to 15% loss after one (1) year use.

Re-coating over the netting initially treated with FLEXGARD after use gives approximately a yield of approximately 18 pounds of netting per gallon of FLEXGARD.
